Specialty Disposal Services, Inc. (SDS) offers the complete destruction of controlled pharmaceuticals with the addition of our reverse distribution facility in Boyertown, Pennsylvania.
The SDS reverse distribution facility is fully licensed by:
SDS’s DEA license enables us to handle CI, CII, CIII, CIV, CV, list 1 and list 2 controlled substances. All transactions are completed using a bar code tracking system to ensure complete compliance with DEA regulations.
Upon completion of the SDS Request for incineration form (RFI), SDS personnel will verify the inventory, issue 222 forms for CI or CII materials, arrange for the secure transportation and ultimate disposal via witness incineration. The ownership of the pharmaceuticals is transferred from the client’s DEA license to the SDS DEA license. Upon receiving the pharmaceutical shipment, SDS technicians will verify the inventory and complete the necessary form 41 for destruction. All pharmaceutical destructions are witnessed with 2 SDS employees verifying the complete destruction and certifying the destruction forms.
SDS pharmaceutical technicians undergo extensive training and criminal background checks. In addition, our drivers, including contract transporters, must pass a thorough background check. Shipments are monitored via a GPS tracking system ensuring the safe delivery of the pharmaceuticals to the facility and to the incinerator.
